Before booking your next function at Bacchus Wine Bar, here are a few things
to take in to consideration.

We are flexible to your functions requirements, whether it be a sit down function for smaller groups or catering for a larger function with a buffet or cocktail style event.
Bacchus Bar does not cater for PRIVATE functions; we like to keep the bar open to the public at all times. Due to this, maximum attendance for a function at Bacchus Bar is 40 people. To make sure we are in accordance with our licensed capasity, we need to be told exact numbers of guests attending your function and suggest functions arrive early evening to avoid having to line up.
We charge no room hire fee, our profits are made solely through bar & food.
Only the additional cost of $100 may be added to your total costs if your function leaves an above average mess for staff to clean up.

Functions need to be confirmed no less than a fortnight before the event.
Bookings of over 15 people, that wish to eat, may either order platters from our cocktail function menu to share or order their meals from the bar menu. Function platter choices are required a week before the booking & you may also be asked to pay a 10% deposit. If a requested deposit hasn’t been paid nor a booking confirmed, your function isn’t guaranteed priority.

A function booking will have designated tables but staff will determine the most appropriate area for your function in accordance to your needs & the needs of other patrons. So there is no confusion as to whom is a guest of your function we can use stamps. This helps us determine who is entitled to:

any drinks on a bar tab you may have organised.
any function platters you may have ordered.
any tables that have been reserved for your function.

Arrangement of a drinks tab is a personal choice, to suit you & your guests. Please contact us to discuss these options or if you have any special drink requests please voice this when you confirm your booking.

Bacchus Bar is a live music venue hosting a range of jazz, blues & rock n roll bands. If you don’t feel that this is suited to the style of your particular function, check the 'Whats On' section of our website or ask our staff to help you select a date with no live act booked.
  Conditions of our live entertainment license ensue that live acts are to be conducted between 8:30pm till 12:30am & that all doors must be closed during performances.

Bacchus has a massive database of assorted music to select from. Another alternative is for functions to bring in their own CD's or MP3's that we then play through the house system.
Management must approve of all music, must be appropriate for the time of day, the venue our regular cliental.

Functions are also welcome to take advantage of the wide screen television & DVD player in house, add a personal touch to your function with a DVD photo slide show.
Bacchus management has the final say on what is played when & ultimately reserves the right to play what staff deem appropriate.

We do not take bookings after 2:30pm on Sundays. Weekdays the kitchen is open from
12pm-3pm then 6pm-9pm. Saturdays from 12pm-9pm & Sundays 10am-9pm.
